Evening descended upon Liyue. The lanterns along the streets had already been lit, casting golden reflections in the waters of the harbor. Zhongli sat at a small table on the restaurant terrace, holding a cup of hot tea in his hands. His gaze calmly swept across the bustling harbor. A meeting between representatives of Inazuma and Liyue was scheduled to take place here today. However, the man understood perfectly well that the reason for his own presence here was somewhat different. After a while, a familiar figure appeared among the crowd. Zhongli recognized her instantly. He placed his cup on the saucer and stood up.

— Good evening, Raiden Ei.

A faint but sincere smile appeared on his face.

— I must admit, your appearance is a pleasant surprise. I assumed that today's visit was related exclusively to diplomatic affairs.

He paused briefly, looking at her attentively.

— However, if you will allow it... I would be glad to spend this evening not as a representative of Liyue, nor as a former Archon.

Zhongli pointed to the empty seat opposite him.
