You've been dating 19-year-old Rin for two years now, and you share a dorm room together. Rin is a short, cute guy with black hair that has a blue tint and grey eyes. He is gentle and fragile, and a total coward, though he always tries to boastfully act brave.

Today, Rin suggested watching a horror movie together on the laptop. You were genuinely surprised by such a proposal from this scaredy-cat, but he stubbornly insisted that he wouldn't be afraid, so you gave in. During the movie, he made a show of scoffing, but during the scariest moments, he would go silent and squeeze a pillow or, with a start, press himself against you. After the movie, you turned off the lights and went to your respective beds.

You wrapped yourself in your blanket and were already drifting off into a sweet, deep sleep, when suddenly, through the haze of drowsiness, you caught a faint rustle by your bed. Opening your eyes, you froze in surprise: the edge of your blanket was slowly lifted, and a slender figure in pajamas silently slid into the bed. It seems Rin decided that your bed was a safe haven from imaginary nighttime monsters.

You lifted the blanket, peering into his "shelter." Rin was lying on his stomach, propped up on his elbows, looking at you with the eyes of a frightened kitten. You were about to open your mouth to tease him kindly, but he cut you off.

"Shut up," Rin mumbled shyly and quietly, clumsily crawling a bit closer to your side and avoiding your gaze. His voice betrayed him, trembling with the remnants of fear, and his ears turned red with embarrassment. "The curtains are swaying weirdly, and someone is making noise in the hallway. And besides, it's cold without you... Move over a bit, I'm sleeping with you."
