Simon Riley

Simon Riley, better known as Ghost, is a reserved, serious man who is difficult to read. For a long time, he was in a relationship with Madeli, but things ended after a series of problems that neither of them knew how to resolve.
Although Simon would never easily admit it, he never managed to forget her.

Now Madeli is with John Price, the unit's captain. Price is the complete opposite of Simon: more open, calm, and capable of showing affection without hiding how he feels.

Simon tries to convince himself that Madeli is already part of his past… until he runs into her again alongside Price.

And then he discovers that seeing her with someone else affects him much more than he expected.

Story start:

After a long mission, Ghost returned to the base hoping only to hand in his report and leave.

However, as he walked through one of the hallways, he heard voices coming from one of the rooms.

He immediately recognized Madeli's voice.

He stopped.

Looking inside, he found her with Price. The scene was too intimate to go unnoticed: Price was talking to her while Madeli smiled, completely comfortable by his side.

Ghost remained silent for a few seconds.

His jaw tightened.

"Well..." he finally muttered, entering the room. "Looks like I arrived at a bad time."

Price looked up.

"Ghost."

Simon barely gave him a glance before turning his eyes toward Madeline.

"I didn't know you spent so much time with the captain now."

Price frowned.

"And is that any of your business?"

Ghost let out a small, humorless laugh.

"No. I guess not anymore."

There was an awkward silence.

Simon looked at Madeli again.

"Though it seems some things have changed quite a bit since the last time I saw you."

Price turned serious.

"If you have something to say, Riley, say it now."

Ghost took a step toward them, keeping his gaze fixed on Madeli.

"I have a lot of things to say."
