Maktesløs (originally spelled Maktesløs) is a special high-tech mind control mask created by Red Army scientists on the orders of the Red Leader (Tord) in the TBATF fan comic.
The word Maktesløs itself translates from Norwegian as "powerless" or "helpless", which perfectly describes the state of the victim on whom it is placed.
How does the mask work and work?
Appearance: It is a massive white mask with no cutouts for the eyes, completely covering the face. It depicts an ominous minimalist red smile and two dots instead of eyes. Wires and tubes are connected to the mask.

Tom as the main bioweapon
In the context of the comic, Tom himself unwittingly becomes Thord's most dangerous and destructive biological weapon.
Using the Maktesløs mind control mask and brutal experiments in the lab, Tord learned to forcibly awaken and use Monster Tom's Monster form.

Patryck (originally Patryck) is one of the key canon characters in the Eddsworld universe, who in the TBATF fan comic is a general in the Red Army and is the right hand of the Red Leader (Tord), working in an invariable duo with his partner Paul.
In the comic, his image, like the images of other characters, has become much more serious, dramatic and dark compared to the original web series.

Tired Appearance: Due to the constant stress, hard work at the base, and the growing fear of Tord, his face is almost always frowning, tired, or tense.

Paul (originally Paul) is a canonical Eddsworld character who in the TBATF fan comic acts as a general in the Red Army, the second most important military leader after Thord and Patrick's permanent partner.
His image in the comic has undergone a major transformation, transforming from a lazy smoking soldier to a deeply traumatized and broken character.
Personality and traits

Richard (full name - Richard Göbel, but more often called simply Dick) is the third original character (OS) from the trio of officers of the Red Army base in the TBATF fan comic. He works closely with the big man Vlad and Sergeant Brianna.
Unlike the stern Vlad, Dick is responsible for the technical, research, and logistical parts of Tord's base.
Character and style of Richard (Dick)
Appearance: A young man of short stature with blond or brown hair. He wears a neat officer's uniform of the Red Army and often looks more "civil" and intelligent against the background of other soldiers.

Loss and Search: In the course of the story, Dick's dog manages to escape and get lost somewhere in the countless corridors and compartments of the huge military base of the Red Leader.

Vlad (originally spelled Vlahd) is an important supporting character in the Eddsworld: TBATF fan comic. He is an original character (OS) created by the authors of the comic, and does not appear in the canon series Eddsworld.Vlad acts as a high-ranking officer and loyal enforcer of the Red Army, subordinate personally to the Red Leader (Tord).
Appearance and featuresImpressive dimensions: This is a very tall, muscular, strong and severe man.
Scars and Fortitude: Its body has many battle markings. In fandom, he is often jokingly called "immortal", since according to the plot of the comic, he survives severe injuries (for example, knife wounds, in which the ribs are visible), but each time he gets back on his feet, demonstrating incredible endurance.

Camouflage in the Rocks: Most of the complex is cut directly into the snow-capped mountains, leaving only massive armored airlocks, radar towers, and pillboxes visible from the outside.
Symbols of the dictatorship: Giant banners and metal structures with the logo of the Red Army (a recognizable symbol of Tord) are installed above the main entrance and on the flanks.
Air Defense System and Turrets: Automatic laser turrets, rocket launchers, and sentinel towers are placed around the perimeter of the cliffs. The airspace is patrolled around the clock by drones.
Interior and atmosphere
The interior of the base emphasizes the totalitarian regime of the Red Leader and puts pressure on the psyche.
Color Palette: The cool grays, navy blues, and metallic tones of the sterile corridors predominate, which contrast sharply with the ominous neon red lighting.
Endless Corridors: The base consists of hundreds of identical concrete passages with strict sector numbering. Propaganda posters calling for loyalty to the Red Leader hang everywhere on the walls.

Architecture and appearance of the complex
Form and Façade: This monumental, angular building, constructed of rough monolithic concrete, is built in the aggressive Brutalist style. It has the shape of a closed square. The windows on the lower floors are completely missing or replaced by narrow embrasures, while those on the upper floors are covered with solid welded bars. Traces of soot from old fires and rough patches of sheet metal are visible here and there.
Roof: Completely flat, surrounded by a high fence topped with barbed wire. It's used not for walking, but as an observation post: powerful Red Army searchlights are installed there, scanning the surrounding area at night, along with towers with surveillance cameras.
The main entrance: a massive hermetic gate or a heavy steel door with a combination lock and a viewing window. Above it hangs a dim red lantern and a huge, rusting logo symbol of the Red Army.
Isolated courtyard:
Restricted Zone: The orphanage stands in the middle of a scorched wasteland, hidden from the eyes of ordinary citizens of Neo-London. The entire perimeter is surrounded by a high, double-ringed fence topped with electrified barbed wire.
Lack of greenery: There's not a single tree, grass, or bush around the building—only bare, cracked gray asphalt and dirt. The only structure in the courtyard is a rusty flagpole in the very center of the parade ground, from which flutters a tattered Red Army flag.
Militarized checkpoints: At the entrance there are anti-tank hedgehogs, a barrier and a guard booth, where armed Red Army soldiers (possibly soldiers like Paul and Patrick in their youth, or similar patrolmen) stand guard, ensuring that no one escapes or gets inside.
Separate blocks inside the building
Since it is a stand-alone building, it is divided into strict sectors:
Residential Wing (Barracks): Rows of identical gray steel doors with numbers instead of room names. Inside, bunk beds bolted to the floor and a complete lack of personal space.
Utility Block: A huge underground laundry room and a stuffy kitchen with expired food.

Brianna (originally Brianna or Sgt. Brianna) is a minor character in the Eddsworld: TBATF fan comic. Like Vlad, she is an original character (OS) created by the authors of the comic specifically for this alternate universe.
She serves at the base of the Red Army and has the rank of sergeant.
Appearance and style
Image: Brianna is a young blonde. She wears the standard military uniform of the Red Army (usually a gray-blue or red tunic with shoulder straps, trousers and berets).

At the same time, she, like most soldiers, has a strong fear of the unpredictable and cruel Red Leader, trying to perfectly follow his orders to avoid punishment.
Snideness and arrogance: In some scenes at the base, she is shown to be quite sharp-tongued, loving to make fun of or openly taunt other ordinary soldiers or prisoners, which sometimes provokes conflicts within the team. Unlike the canon characters (Paul and Patrick), Brianna performs the functions of local management based on Tord.
In fandom, she is often criticized for her "one-dimensional" character (like many other female OS characters in this comic), but she remains a recognizable part of the Red Army structure in TBATF.

Tord (Red Leader) in the TBATF fan comic is the main antagonist of the plot, a cruel and calculating dictator who leads the Red Army and seeks world domination.
