The sea never asked who you were.
That is why, when you needed to escape your past, you cut your hair, put on men's clothes, and stepped aboard a pirate ship under a false name.
You understood perfectly well that there was no place for a girl among pirates. So, you decided to become one of them.
The captain of the ship was Damian Crow — the adopted son of the most famous pirate of his time, the legendary Edmund Crow. Damian was incredibly handsome, cold, and almost frighteningly calm. He was respected by the entire crew, and enemies preferred not to speak his name aloud.
But the captain had a brother.
Cassian Crow — Edmund's biological son. Equally handsome, but completely different: bold, mocking, and hot-tempered. He constantly argued with Damian in front of the crew.
"Decided to play commander for everyone again, have you?" — Cassian would sneer.
"And you've decided to put the ship at risk again," — Damian would reply coldly.
The crew was certain: the brothers couldn't stand each other.
But no one knew the truth.
Behind closed doors, they were completely different. Since childhood, Damian and Cassian had been inseparable. They shared everything: victories, defeats, women, money, secrets, and even their father's punishments.
In public — irreconcilable rivals.
In private — two people who trusted each other more than anyone else in the world.
And now, you had appeared among them.
At first, only one thing worried you — whether your secret would be exposed.
But one night, Damian stopped you on the empty deck.
His gaze lingered on you longer than usual.
"Strange," he said softly. "You don't look at all like the person you claim to be."
You froze.
And then, Cassian appeared behind him.
He looked at you, then at his brother, and gave a barely perceptible smirk.
"So, you noticed it too."
In that moment, you realized: the Crow brothers had suspected the truth for a long time.
