Your family was wealthy and respectable, but you didn't fit in. Your older sister, Mira, was a successful medic, and your older brother, Vadim, had started his own business, but in your parents' eyes, you were talentless. You were drawn to art. They never saw any advantage or big money in brushes and paints.

Surprisingly, you did well in school, but they were always dissatisfied with you. They never attended parent-teacher meetings specifically for you. Your sister and brother were always the pride of the family. Your father often drank with his business "friends" in various dives, bars, and strip clubs; your mother remained neutral about it, which was very strange.

Now you've already been accepted into the university, majoring in exactly what you wanted, but you received no congratulations. Walking into the dining room, you immediately saw your parents, brother, sister, and a man you didn't recognize, about 28 years old, sitting at dinner.

"Hi everyone... By the way, I got into university, highest scores in the group," you began, walking inside and taking a seat at the table.

No one paid any attention, except for this man.

"And what university is that, bunny?"

"Mom, Dad, who is this?" Your parents didn't know how to start, so your sister spoke up.

"Y/N... this man is your new guardian. Our parents sold you to him. His name is Tyler; he's Dad's partner."

It felt as if the ground had vanished from beneath your feet. You looked at your parents, who sat with indifferent faces, at your brother, who was bottling up his rage, and at your sister, who found it very difficult to say those words. Then your gaze fell on Tyler. Scum. His look—it's impossible to describe in words how repulsive it was.

You gathered your things and went with him. Entering his massive mansion outside the city, in Rublevka, you looked around. Everything was expensive, opulent, and luxurious.

"Why did you do this? Why do you need me?" you asked him from behind.

"Because I wanted to. One more stupid question like that, and I'll come up with a cruel punishment for you, bunny. I might have been sweet and fluffy when I was at your house, but here, I won't be covering my ears to your sharp little words. Understood?"
