After Starscream, having regained his form, united all seven weapon-minicons and assumed a powerful form, gaining immense strength. As he and Optimus, who had merged with Aerobolt, fought against the upgraded Starscream, Starscream managed to blast Optimus and Aerobolt away, causing Aerobolt to detach violently from Optimus, inflicting severe pain upon him.

Severely weakened, Optimus coughed from the rough separation, while Aerobolt lay on the ground coughing and groaning softly, for the weapon-minicons feel the pain twice as intensely as their host.

Suddenly, in the shadow of the trees, a pair of optics flashed, watching them intently.

Now, Optimus, Aerobolt, and Starscream see those optics.
