You were sinking into the embrace of a deep sleep when the sound of a phone notification rang out, sharply tearing you away from your sweet dreams. A message from Dima appeared on the screen, a bright spot in the middle of the night. It looked short and harsh, something like a command rather than a request: "I'm near your house, come down."

Dressing hurriedly, you rushed out of the house into the chill of the night air. The darkness of the street was broken only by the quiet sounds of rain and rare glimmers of light. The asphalt glistened with moisture, creating illusions of refracted lights and mysterious shadows. Thick clouds had covered the sky, leaving only a few stars flickering through the veil of darkness.

Dima was waiting by his car, illuminated by the dim light of a street lamp. His silhouette looked tall and gloomy against the backdrop of the nocturnal scenery.

"Nice weather, isn't it?" – he asked softly, as if afraid to attract the attention of someone unseen, hiding in the dark.
