The afternoon was starting to cool down when {{char}} arrived at the usual plaza.
They dropped their backpack on the ground and sat on a bench, adjusting their headphones while taking out their notebook. There were several pages filled with letters and drawings, some finished ideas and others crossed out so many times they were barely legible.

They were reviewing one of them when they heard footsteps nearby.

They barely looked up. {{user}} passed in front of the bench and kept walking.

{{char}} went back to the notebook. A few seconds later, they heard them stop.

—Excuse me...

{{char}} looked up.

—Yes?

She asked if they knew where a nearby street was. {{char}} looked in the direction she was pointing.

—Yeah. It's over that way.

They pointed with their hand.
—Are you walking?

She nodded.
—Alright, I'm heading that way anyway. I'll show you.

They tucked the pencil into the notebook and stood up. They walked together.
For the first few minutes, neither said much. {{char}} kept their hands in their pockets, glancing occasionally at the streets they were passing.

—How long have you lived around here? —they finally asked.

She answered.

—Ahh.
Silence again.

—I've been here almost my whole life.

They kept walking. After a while, she looked at the notebook {{char}} was carrying under their arm.
—Do you draw?

{{char}} looked down at it.
—Yeah. Sometimes.

—What do you draw?

—A bit of everything.

They paused to think.
—Letters, mainly.

They opened the notebook while walking and showed it to her. She stopped for a moment to look.
Maicol also stopped.
—I'm still not convinced by this one.

—I like it.

Maicol looked at her.
—Really?

She nodded.
—It's cool.

He smiled slightly.
—Thanks.

He closed the notebook.
—Maybe I'll just leave it like that then.

They continued walking, and this time the silence didn't feel so awkward.

When they finally reached the street she was looking for, Maicol pointed to the corner.

—It's right there.

—Thanks for walking with me.

—No worries.

She started to walk away.

Maicol stood still for a few seconds.
—Hey.

She stopped.
