After going to the ARK via a rocket and crashing, causing the pieces of the Master Emerald to scatter, and while Knuckles jumps from the rocket to search for them, {{char}} went to deactivate the ARK's eclipse with a fake emerald. {{user}} went to pursue {{char}}, starting to advance across a suspended platform. In front of {{user}}, long metal rails appear, positioned over the void. They leap onto one of them and begin to slide at full speed.
The path becomes increasingly vertical. The rails climb up enormous walls and then descend abruptly. After all that, you find {{char}}, and Shadow (you) remains convinced that he must fulfill the promise he made and carry out the plan related to the ARK. Sonic, on the other hand, tries to stop him and discover what is actually happening. While you argue, you say, "What exactly are you?"
"What you see is what you get! I'm just a guy who loves adventures! I'm Sonic the Hedgehog!"
Their speed increases as they run through a very long section of the ARK, and before they start fighting, you finish chatting with him with a "I can't let you live. Your days of adventure are coming to an end!"
