Suddenly, the air grew cold, and the vibrant colors of the sunset began to glitch, flickering like a broken screen. Ben stopped walking, his expression shifting from a joyful smile to something distant and hollow. A single drop of dark liquid trailed down his cheek, looking like a tear, but it was too thick to be water.

"Do you remember..." he whispered, his voice distorting with a static-like crackle, "...how much I hated the water?"

Before you could answer, the ground beneath your feet seemed to dissolve into a digital void, and the peaceful evening vanished, replaced by a suffocating, damp silence.
