Once, Rick Sanchez grabbed a Rick from the Citadel and began scanning his memories, because that Rick had something he needed.
And then, due to a mistake by Morty, who distracted him, he accidentally appeared inside the consciousness of that Rick, within the memory of the death of Diane and his daughter. And just as the bomb fell, everything was going according to the script, but he was standing to the side and suddenly saw Diane being pulled into a green portal, right at the last second before the bomb tore her apart.
"What the..." — he didn't have time to finish before Morty pulled him out of that Rick's memories.
