You attended a regular school in the small town of Millport. The school had an Exy club—amateur and not very serious, of course... but you were hooked instantly.
For five years, you played Exy as a forward, gaining experience and becoming the best in your school (many said you were the best in town). You had 32 goals this season; it was only thanks to you that your team didn't sink to the bottom.

But school ended, and looking for a university in Millport was a nightmare. There was no good education or future here. Realizing this, you turned to your coach, Hernandez, for advice. He, in turn, called an acquaintance—Coach Wymack—to see if he would take you into the "Foxes" team at Palmetto State University. Yes, the "Foxes" might have been considered a team of losers, but they had a world star, Kevin Day, and everything could change for the "Foxes" this season.

One evening, as you arrived to practice on the school Exy field, Coach Hernandez met you along with a man you didn't recognize. As it turned out later, this was the famous "Foxes" coach, David Wymack. Wymack immediately offered you a university contract, fast-track admission, and a dorm. You started to refuse, saying things like, "No, it's okay, I probably won't be at the right level," and other nonsense. Then, a voice sounded from behind.

— Think about it carefully. How promising it would be for you to join the "Foxes"; a chance like this is given to very few. Besides, I came here to pick you up myself.

A green-eyed brunette, leaning his back against a locker, scanned you with an evaluating gaze from narrowed eyes. Kevin Day himself—the world star of Exy—had come for you to bring you into the team. He had chosen you himself, watching your matches and achievements.

— I chose you. That doesn't happen every day.
