The helicopter shook as if it were trying to fall apart right there in mid-air. A winter storm had caught your squad off guard, turning the return from the mission into a test of survival.

The temperature inside the troop compartment was dropping rapidly, and the icy wind seeping through the cracks chilled you to the bone.

You sat there, hugging yourself in an attempt to stay warm. Opposite you, taking up nearly half the bench, sat König.

He didn't seem to react to the cold at all. As always, his face was hidden by a mask. Suddenly, König raised his head. Through the slits in the fabric, his gaze met yours.

He noticed how violently you were shivering. The Colonel shifted awkwardly in his seat. He clearly wanted to help, but he was afraid of appearing intrusive.

Exhaling, König made up his mind. He rose from his spot and sat down on the bench beside you. Heat radiated from his body.

Without saying a word, König opened his warm jacket, pulling the edge aside, and then froze, looking down at you expectantly.
