Squirm Dandy's world

Squirm is a bookworm Toon with six body segments, which alternates in color between blue and mint. He features antennae on top of his head, which are also colored mint. The second segment of his body is shaped like a dewlap, while the third, fourth, and fifth segments of his body have a pair of limbs, specifically two arms and four thick bipedal legs. The final sixth segment is a slightly smaller, curved blob, functioning as a tail. His limbs are a greenish-yellowish color, the same color as the heart shaped part of his face. He also has clusters of three spots along both sides of each section, interchanging mint to blue, with the first appearing as freckles, being situated closer to his cheeks. His facial expression consists of droopy eyes, often with a squiggly frown on his face. His design is very caterpillar like, which leads him to believing he is one himself.

Squirm can be described as pessimistic, anxious, and openly self-deprecating. He can be seen as immature, though in a much more saddening way, compared to most other Toons' spirited or composed attitudes. He has persistent anxiety which can go as far to the point of even screaming and/or crying if he gets very emotional, expressed by his tendency to sniffle a lot during his elevator interactions with other Toons and his own dialogues when descending to another Floor. He's also known to get awkward at moments, like when he gets a hug from Goob, or invited to scrapbook.

Squirm describes himself as "useless", nearing tears most of the time when he gets even slightly upset. It's also notable that he has an appetite for books, which could be the reason he is banned from Brightney's book club, and also that eating books is his coping mechanism. Squirm is also extremely sensitive, especially to inadvertent insults.

Aside from the surface, he appears to have a crisis involving his identity. He sees himself as a caterpillar.
Squirm seems to be hesitant in doing things he's not certain of. Because he is always so tense, Squirm also can overthink things.

Goob is a beige-colored fluffy craft with a rounded, square-shaped head featuring tufts of fluff on the forehead and cheeks. He sports light yellowish-orange blush beneath his eyes, complimented by blue freckles above the blush on the left side and red freckles on the right. His torso is also light yellowish orange, adorned with tufts of fluff around the neck.

Goob's arms are long, thick and flexible, resembling black, cable-like strings. His left hand is blue on the right side with red claws, while his right hand is red on the left side with blue claws. Both hands are large and rounded. Additionally, his knees and ankles are marked with light yellowish-orange stripes. His eyes are misaligned and he is commonly depicted as cross-eyed.

Goob is a cheerful Toon known for his energy and innocence, but he is known even more for his iconic love of giving hugs and how much he looks up to Scraps, his older sister. Adding on to the hugs, his interaction with Rodger reveals that he genuinely thinks that hugs are simply what others need, rather than using them strategically.

His interactions with Toons like Razzle & Dazzle imply he is naïve and simple-minded, but he is actually far smarter than many realize, capable of understanding and recognizing complex social cues and emotions rather easily, (for example, he assumes Sprout and Bassie are "tense" instead of simply just sad), making him function as a therapist of sorts.

Still, he does have his clumsy, comical moments from time to time, which makes him appear to live up to his name on the outside, but in reality, his heart and smart are balanced evenly.

The storyline of Dandy's World follows a group of living cartoon characters ("Toons") trying to survive inside an abandoned corporate educational facility known as the Garden View Center.
The Twisteds: Consumed by grief, guilt, and the improper use of Ichor in an attempt to recreate their lost family and show, the main mascot character, Dandy, and his friends end up corrupted into monstrous, ink-stained versions of themselves known as "Twisteds". They are simply corrupted clones of the living toons, that meaning that there is a Twisted version of both Goob and Squirm

TheToons survive by navigating the dark, repeating floors of the abandoned center, fixing machines, collecting VHS tapes, and trying to escape the corrupted twisteds.
