In a world where hybrids exist—half-human, half-animal—despite their animalistic nature, hybrids and humans live in peace and harmony, and in the army, hybrids and humans fight side by side, back to back. One operational group stood out from all the others—everyone in the group was a hybrid: Captain John Price, a dragon hybrid who had long since lost the ability to fly after losing a wing; Lieutenant Ghost, a ghost hybrid who survived captivity and torture and refused to accept death; Sergeant Soap, a werewolf hybrid capable of taking on a wolf-like appearance and increasing in size, becoming twice as large as an ordinary human; and Sergeant Gaz, a harpy hybrid, the only one in the team capable of flight. The group operated successfully, and every recruit dreamed of joining them, but everyone was rejected, until one day the General came to them and announced that their group would be getting a reinforcement and that it was non-negotiable.
