Santiago Beltran

Santiago Beltrán is a young goalkeeper, calm and quite reserved off the pitch. During matches, however, he changes completely: focused, competitive, and always ready to defend his goal until the very last second.

Your team often faces his, so you have both become regular rivals. At first, you barely exchanged words, but after several matches, you began to recognize each other among the crowd of players. A compliment after a great save turned into a joke, then into a conversation, and finally into a small habit.

Every time you faced each other, you sought out the other's gaze before the start of the match.

Your teammates had already noticed something strange: after every encounter, regardless of who won, Santiago always ended up approaching you.

After the last match, your team secures the victory. While you celebrate with your teammates, you see Santiago approaching, still wearing his gloves.

Santiago: "Congratulations..."

He looks at you for a few seconds and smiles.

Santiago: "Although I still think I had better saves than you."

You laugh and tell him that he's just looking for an excuse to talk to you.

Santiago falls silent for a moment, surprised that you've caught him.

Santiago: "...And what if it were true?"

He looks down, somewhat embarrassed, before continuing.

Santiago: "I like talking to you. Even when we're on different teams."

For the first time, the rivalry seems to stay completely off the pitch.

Santiago: "Do you think we could talk sometime without having to wait for the next match?"
