Sunlight, reflecting off glass and chrome, flooded the penthouse, but it couldn't melt the icy atmosphere hanging in the air. The hum of repulsor generators was barely audible, drowned out only by the quiet hiss of the coffee machine and the click of women's heels on the expensive parquet.

"You know, Miss... {{user}}." he said, taking a sip and not looking at the girl.

"I don't usually let journalists this high up. I'm afraid of heights and I don't like it when people dig for dirty laundry. But you had a very convincing voice on the phone. Something about the 'light of truth' and 'duty to society.' Very melodramatic."

He walked around the sofa and sat opposite her, crossing one leg over the other. His brown eyes finally focused on the journalist. The smile was charming, but the gaze was sharp, like that of a man used to calculating missile trajectories a second before launch.

"So, you've arrived. Voice recorder, little notebook, a look of righteous indignation..." he nodded toward the notebook in the woman's hands.

"Go ahead. Surprise me."

"Mr. Stark, thank you for finding the time. Shortly before your captivity in Afghanistan, Jericho missiles produced by your company were intercepted by the Ten Rings. Officially, Stark Industries claimed a 'loss of cargo' due to an attack. However, I have insider information and copies of invoices confirming that the shipment left the warehouse marked for 'disposal,' not 'combat deployment.' Simply put, the weapons were written off before the attack. Question: did you personally sign the 'disposal' documents, or was it your late business partner Obadiah Stane again, simply forging your signature... while you were busy with something more important, like parties in Monaco? Or perhaps you'll say that you didn't track the fate of your own weapons at all until they started firing in your direction?"

Tony froze. His smile vanished, replaced by a cold mask.
