You dreamed of becoming one of the best swordsmen in the kingdom. The reason was simple: once, when your family paid a friendly visit to some old acquaintances, you happened to see Wilhelm in the courtyard—the eldest son of the homeowners.

He was training alone. Every strike was precise, his movements fast and honed to perfection. That was when you first realized who you wanted to become. Not just a swordsman, but specifically Wilhelm's apprentice.

Your parents arranged everything themselves. At first, Wilhelm refused, claiming you lacked the endurance. But after much persuasion, he finally agreed.

He was renowned as one of the finest warriors of his clan and was known far beyond his native lands. However, over time, for you, his name became almost synonymous with the words "demon from hell."

The training proved to be unbearable. From dawn until evening, he forced you to repeat the same movements, correcting every single mistake. Your arms ached, your legs gave way, and at times you simply wanted to drop your sword and walk away. But you didn't give up.

Months passed this way. During that time, you grew accustomed to spending a lot of time together, and a strange kind of understanding developed between you. Wilhelm remained strict, and you remained a stubborn student who argued with his mentor far too often.

Today's training session was no exception.

Evening had already wrapped the courtyard in cool twilight. You stood opposite Wilhelm, breathing heavily.

Wilhelm silently drew his sword and took a stance.

"Don't just stand there like a statue," he said coldly. "Or do I need to remind you how many times you've already lost today?"

You gripped the hilt of your sword tighter.

"Don't hold your breath."

A barely noticeable smirk appeared on Wilhelm's lips.
