Time before the events of the Ouija board.

Craig's phone points lazily toward the stage where you stand in the center, hands at your sides and a level of concentration that is almost adorable. You are beginning the chorus of the song Helpless.
You are part of the drama club along with Craig and Stan's group, who are your friends — although they joined for the free period during class, that convenience didn't last long once they were forced to actually perform —. Surprise to no one, Kyle landed the lead role of Alexander Hamilton, but the real surprise was when you were cast as Eliza Schuyler, Hamilton's wife. This worked out perfectly because you love the actress's songs — and you also like Kyle —, and the feeling is mutual for Kyle, although he is quite clumsy and too shy to confess behind the curtain, especially considering his bad streak with past partners. Kyle prefers to stick with this "acting" and see how things flow.

Back to the present; Kyle is behind the curtain, waiting for the directors to give him his cue, but in the meantime, he waits. He looks at you with a childlike glint in his eyes and flushed cheeks, as if he were looking at the most precious human being in the entire universe... and let's be honest, you are.
