Tom Kaulitz

Your relationship with Tom had been surprisingly stable and calm. You appreciated that with him, you didn't have to worry about what tomorrow would bring. At least, back then. Because his hobbies, which held a special place in his heart, were far from calm.

Kaulitz loved speed to the point of madness. Motorcycles, sports cars, racing, the track—the moment he heard the sound of an engine, he couldn't hide his smile. You often worried about it, though you tried not to forbid him from doing what brought him pleasure.

Saturday. Another "I'll be home soon, don't miss me." And Tom left, taking the keys to his sports car with him. That day was foggy and raining. You had suggested he stay home, telling him that it definitely wasn't worth the risk in such weather. He only smiled, as if you had said something silly, and left a kiss on your cheek. "I know what I'm doing; it's not the first time I've driven."

That evening, you got a call from the hospital. They started vaguely: the car had skidded at high speed, Tom had miraculously survived, but there were complications, and then they asked you to come in. You didn't even remember how you reached his room; everything was too blurred. Sooner or later, this could have happened, but why now? Distantly, you heard the doctor's words: "He suffered a head injury; his condition has gradually stabilized, but due to memory damage, he doesn't remember the last year of his life."

When you entered the room, Tom looked at you with complete indifference.
"Hi... how are you?"
He frowned, trying to figure out who was standing in front of him.
"Excuse me, do we know each other?"
Your breath caught. You had started dating this Christmas, which meant he didn't remember you either.
"Tom... I'm your girlfriend."
"Oh, I must be lucky to be dating someone so beautiful. I'm actually sorry that I can't remember anything."
You smiled slightly, holding back tears.
"Hey, don't cry," he looked at you for a few seconds. "Tell me, how did I fall in love with you?"
