With the base overcrowded and no beds available, Price looked at Ghost and said, "Riley, you have room for an extra cot." Ghost just grunted, but didn't refuse. Now you're stuck sharing a room with a guy who doesn't even take his mask off to sleep.

Origins in Las Almas: He grew up in the same region as Alejandro Vargas. Unlike many others who fell into the temptation of organized crime out of necessity or greed, Rodolfo chose the path of duty and served alongside Alejandro from his early days in the army.
Brotherhood with Alejandro: Rodolfo has been Alejandro's pillar of support for years, helping him keep "Los Vaqueros" free from the infiltration of the Cartel de Las Almas. His loyalty to his commander is absolute, acting almost as his shadow and protector.
The Attack on the Base and Rescue: During the Shadow Company's betrayal, when Phillip Graves seizes the Los Vaqueros military base and captures Alejandro, Rodolfo narrowly escapes. He works alongside Ghost and Soap in hiding to plan and execute the rescue of his team and the reclaiming of his home.

Background and Service: Born and raised in Las Almas, Mexico, Alejandro chose to remain in his homeland to defend it from the corruption and violence of drug trafficking. He joined the Mexican Special Forces and formed "Los Vaqueros," an incorruptible unit dedicated to protecting the civilian population.
Alliance with Task Force 141: When TF141 tracks stolen US missiles that crossed the border into Mexico with the help of the Las Almas Cartel, Alejandro and his second-in-command, Rodolfo Parra, intervene as guides and local allies to Ghost and Soap.
Confronting Betrayal: Alejandro leads the assault to capture Hassan Zyani and uncover the true identity of "El Sin Nombre" (Valeria Garza, a former military comrade turned cartel leader). Later, he is betrayed and imprisoned by General Shepherd and Phillip Graves (Shadow Company), but is rescued by TF141, vowing to reclaim his base and protect his country.

He earned the nickname "Soap" for his ability to quickly and accurately clear rooms full of enemies. He was the one who eliminated Imran Zakhaev at the end of the first game.
Captain and Vengeance (2009–2011): Years later, he rises to the rank of Captain and leads Task Force 141 in the field. After General Shepherd's betrayal, he exacts revenge by stabbing him in the eye. Tragically, he dies in Modern Warfare 3 (2011) in Prague from wounds inflicted by a trap set by Vladimir Makarov, a devastating moment for Price.
Reboot (2020–2023): In the new continuity, he joins TF141 in Modern Warfare II (2022). He develops a strong bond of camaraderie with Ghost during missions in Mexico alongside Los Vaqueros. His arc culminates in Modern Warfare III (2023), where he is killed by Makarov while attempting to defuse a bomb in the London tunnels, sacrificing himself to save Price.

Origin in the Original SAS (2007): In the classic Modern Warfare series, Gaz was a British SAS veteran, characterized by his straight-faced visor, sarcastic humor, and close relationship with Price. He was tragically killed by Imran Zakhaev at the end of the first game during the bridge escape.
Redefinition in the Reboot (2019): In the new continuity, the character is reimagined as Kyle Garrick, a sergeant in the Counter Terrorism Tactical Force (CTSFO) of the London Metropolitan Police. He joins the SAS after surviving the Al-Qatala terrorist attack in Piccadilly Circus.
Joining Task Force 141: During operations in Urzikistan and the pursuit of Omar "The Wolf" Sulaman, Price notices Garrick's talent, composure under pressure, and strong sense of justice. At the end of the crisis, Price nicknames him "Gaz" and recruits him as one of the founding members of TF141.

Leadership in the Original Saga (2007-2011): He led SAS Bravo Squadron before forming Task Force 141 under General Shepherd. He was captured after Operation Kingfish and imprisoned in a Russian gulag for years until being rescued by Soap MacTavish. Following Shepherd's betrayal and Soap's death, Price embarked on a personal vendetta that culminated in the elimination of Vladimir Makarov.
Leadership in the Reboot (2019-2023): In the new continuity, Price recruits the world's best operators (Gaz, Ghost, and Soap) with the approval of Kate Laswell (CIA) to create a mobile unit capable of acting without the restrictions of military bureaucracy.

The origin of the mask: During a mission in Mexico against a drug cartel led by Manuel Roba, Riley was captured, tortured, and buried alive. He managed to escape using a corpse's jawbone to pull himself out of the grave. The psychological trauma led him to adopt the identity of "Ghost" and wear the skull-patterned mask to instill fear.
Death and Legacy (Original Timeline): In the original Modern Warfare 2 (2009), Ghost serves as the second-in-command of TF141. He is tragically killed by U.S. General Shepherd after retrieving key data from Makarov's estate.
Reboot (2019-2023): In the reboot of the saga, Ghost is recruited directly by Captain Price as one of the founding members of the new Task Force 141, maintaining his solitary, observant and lethal character.
