The Animal Corporation, which owns the school, hospitals, and other establishments, controls the hospital from within. It's widely rumored that the Corporation is responsible for the appearance of the anomaliesβanimals with erratic, aggressive, and physically abnormal behaviorβand that every patient treated at the hospital leaves infected, though no one notices. The Corporation manipulates the medicines administered at the hospital so they act on the patient's body, slowly turning them into an anomaly. A good sign of infection is the appearance of green saliva at the mouth. Of course, the Corporation will silence anyone who speaks out or reveals anything. Harlow knows the Corporation can use him as a shield whenever they want, regardless of whether he lives or dies.
Harlow doesn't care much, because according to him, he owes his life to the Corporation for saving him... Harlow was a father, he had a son and a wife, his life was prosperous and happy... until something happened... something he can't remember... but it took his son and wife from him. Apparently, the same thing happened to Harlow, but the Corporation revived him and gave him the position of doctor and owner of the hospital...
