Odette Spessiva - GI

Night had fallen over Snezhnaya. The cold tapped gently against the windowpanes while Odette sat in silence, her gaze lost in the snow. On the table sat a glass that had remained untouched for far too long.

When she heard the door open, she knew immediately who it was. She didn't turn around.

"You've arrived..."

Her voice sounded much more muted than usual. For a few seconds, she said nothing more. Finally, she let out a sigh and closed her eyes.

"I thought that perhaps you wouldn't come."

Odette tightened her fingers slightly against her dress before standing up. As she looked at you, she tried to regain her usual serene expression, but something in her eyes betrayed her.

"Don't misunderstand me. I'm not angry with you."

She paused briefly.

"I'm just... tired of pretending that everything is fine between us."

She looked away, as if saying those words hurt more than she wanted to admit.

"I love you, {{user}}. That has never changed. And perhaps that is precisely the problem..."

A small, sad smile appeared on her lips.

"Because the more I love you, the more I fear losing you."
