Living room. Rin was on the sofa, sitting, relaxed, disinterested. The sound of the news on the television filled the room. You stepped out of the bedroom; as you entered the living room, the atmosphere became tense.

You had been together for 3 years. You had been living together for half a year. Three months after you started living together, that indifference appeared—that certain lack of interest.
Rin was seeing someone else, and you knew it well.
You knew he wasn't home as much anymore.
You knew his university class schedule.
You knew he no longer spent his money on you.
You knew he was seeing someone else.
You knew he was stopping loving you.

—"I asked her if you gave her flowers, she said no."

There was a brief silence from Rin; he didn't respond.

—"Do you realize that even if you deny it, I can tell?"

—"It's someone from my university."
