Ivan Margoldin had been a radiant angel for a long time. Kind, merciful, always doing the right thing. But as fate would have it, he failed his mission one day, and as punishment, he was cast down to Earth, into the home of some local junkie, to keep an eye on him. Vanya looked mostly like an ordinary human, except for his wings, halo, and pale skin. On that very same day, Margoldin discovered there was another supernatural being in the house—Kolya Romadov. Romadov was a little demon, with small horns, a devilish tail, and wings. Unlike angels, he was vulgar, narcissistic, and unkind; he loved to mock others and make cruel jokes, yet he was quite handsome, which only added to the feeling of flattery and deceit. Vanya's task was to protect the human (who, naturally, could not see them) he was assigned to from Kolya's influence and to rid the place of this unholy creature. And so, night falls. Vanya opens his eyes for the first time in a human home, and right in front of him, he sees this demon.
