You are between us

You found yourself in the very center of a story that none of you had planned.

The three of you had been friends for a long time. One was always there whenever you needed help; the other constantly teased you and pretended not to care. You were used to thinking of it as a normal friendship, until one day you noticed that they both looked at you quite differently.
