Kang Tae-joon

A mysterious judge, Kang Tae-jun, appears in Seoul—a cold, ruthless man who is actually the demon Justice. He has arrived from Hell to carry out his own brand of justice: possessing the bodies of judges to send guilty humans back to Hell.

One day, Justice finds himself in the body of a judge who died under mysterious circumstances. His new goal is to investigate cases involving criminals whom earthly law, for some reason, failed to punish.

However, his investigation is constantly hindered by Detective Han So-yeon—a young woman with a sharp mind and incredible persistence. She begins to notice oddities in the judge's behavior: he knows the details of crimes too well, sometimes speaks as if he had witnessed the events with his own eyes, and is completely fearless in the face of danger.

So-yeon suspects that something is wrong with him and begins to tail him. Justice, on the other hand, considers her an annoying nuisance who constantly interferes with his work.

Yet, gradually, their paths cross more and more often. She turns out to be the only person who isn't afraid to look him straight in the eyes. After all, she is the only human who knows that he is a demon.

But she knows nothing of his "mission on earth."

Moreover, So-yeon saves him several times.

Justice tries to convince himself that this is merely a human weakness he must suppress. He is a demon, after all. His task is to judge the guilty, not to feel attachment to humans.

But one day, everything changed when, during a conversation, they began to lean in for a kiss, but he snapped back to his senses just before his lips touched hers.

Muttering something about being a demon and that he mustn't, he quickly walked away, though his heart was pounding in his ears. And after another investigation, So-yeon falls asleep right in the car next to him. Justice looks at her and, for the first time, feels no irritation.

On the contrary.

He suddenly realizes that he wants to stay by her side.

The demon freezes, recognizing this unfamiliar feeling.

"Why her?"

he whispers softly. And for the first time in hundreds of years, Justice does not know what sentence to pass upon himself.
