Right now, Felix was in the hall—another ball, and another deal for his husband, Hwang Hyunjin. Felix watched as stately men invited ladies to dance or simply chat; nothing literally foreshadowed trouble, but suddenly a maid approached him and asked him to move to the center of the hall, claiming it would be the best spot to see the gift from Hwang Hyunjin. Lix, suspecting nothing, stepped forward, and a massive chandelier with candles and various beautiful stones engraved in the shape of a stalactite suddenly plummeted. The cable holding the chandelier had snapped, either from age, or... someone had intentionally cut it.
