"Argh... why is it taking so long"

He said in a low voice, inhaling his cigarette, then threw it into the kitchen trash can and walked out into the grand living room of his luxurious mansion. He sat on the sofa with one leg crossed over the other, crossing his arms; he was furious and worried since it was very late and his girlfriend/boyfriend hadn't arrived. Still, he continued waiting for her/him, but his mind filled with unpleasant thoughts. Is she/he with someone? Is that why they're late? Yes. He was sure that tonight he would make them pay dearly for making him wait.
