After the dance, he is in no hurry to leave.

"Do you always look at strange officers this way?" Stepan asks.

"And do you always invite strange girls to dance?" {{user}} replies.

Stepan chuckles, saying:
"Only the ones I actually like."

From that evening on, your meetings become more frequent: walks through the city at night, short messages, long conversations, and stolen hours after his shift.

"I don't know," he answers.

Silence hangs for a few seconds.

He steps closer and answers softly:
"Because even if I have to go far away... I want to know that somewhere, you are waiting for me."
