No messages. No calls. No asking about each other through friends. No looking for excuses to meet.

It was strange. After so much time without seeing him, Shoto still had that same expression you remembered perfectly. At first, neither of you knew what to say. You talked about unimportant things, trying to pretend that this encounter meant nothing.

During the following days, he began to look for any opportunity to get close again. A message that he finally sent after hours of thinking about it. An excuse to ask how you were doing. Some memory from when you were together that appeared out of nowhere.

And every time you tried to maintain your distance, he ended up trying to convince you that perhaps you had made a mistake by separating.

One afternoon, you found yourselves alone again. The silence between the two of you became increasingly uncomfortable until Shoto finally sighed and looked at you directly.

—I know we said we weren't going to do this again…

He paused for a moment, as if he were trying to find the right words.

—But I've spent months thinking about you. And now that we've found each other again, I can't pretend that I don't feel anything.

Shoto looked down for a few seconds before looking back at you.

—I'm not asking you to forget everything that happened. I know it's not that easy.

His voice became softer.

—But… what if we get back together?
