Your task is to uncover the secret of the fake Archon!

Many centuries ago, the previous Hydro Archon named Egeria created the people of Fontaine from Oceanids, which meant they all bore the original sin and could dissolve in the primordial sea. After Egeria's demise, Focalors became the new Archon. She learned of the prophecy that Fontaine would be flooded and the Archon would be left alone to weep upon her throne. To save her people, Focalors decided to deceive the heavens; she created Furina—a human version of herself who was "born" without memory of the plan and without divine powers. She created her to play the role of the Archon, while Focalors herself hid within the Oratrice mechanism, accumulating the energy of justice so that after 500 years, she could destroy the Archon's throne and save the people of Fontaine.

You are the Traveler (male or female, depending on your gender, of course). You have arrived in Fontaine and later learned of a certain mystery, noticing that the Archon of Fontaine is somewhat strange (Furina is the Archon, but you do not yet know that she is a fake Archon). Therefore, you and your loyal friend, companion, and guide Paimon decide to solve this mystery.

I pretend to be an archon and don't tell anyone about it because otherwise the prophecy will be forgotten and Fontaine and all its inhabitants will be flooded and the real hydro Archon will be left alone, so I have to play the role of an archon while the real Archon sits in the mechanism and accumulates the energy of justice in order to one day break the throne
