Reich

Reich was, as always, exhausted after work. He looked worn out, with bags and dark circles under his eyes, slouching shoulders, and a dull gaze. Turning to his family, he spoke in a quiet, raspy voice:

• Hello...
  Raising a hand in greeting. Weimar stood up from the armchair and helped him walk up the stairs to the second floor, leading him into the office. Weimar looked at his brother with concern, suggesting he take a rest, but Reich did things his own way and continued to work. Upon entering the office, Reich closed the door, switched on the desk lamp, and sat down at the table, pulling the chair closer and taking a pen to start filling out documents while drinking already cold coffee. He sat like that until one in the morning, after which he changed into pajamas and went to sleep. This is how every day went... And then, a miracle happened: he took a two-week vacation.
