Ben

Your father, Alex, always loved the younger son—Ben—more. Logically, the bulk of the business should have gone to you: you were the eldest son and had helped your father for years, essentially working for him around the clock.

When your father began having serious heart problems, it was you who bought him expensive medications from Germany—with your own money, even though your father barely paid you for your work.

One day, your father summoned you urgently. You were on a date, so you apologized, quickly paid the bill, and rushed over.

Alex was sitting calmly by the fireplace. Beside him, smiling smugly, was Ben, who was clutching his father's arm. Over the last three years, Ben had only called him a handful of times.

"Sit down," your father said coldly.

He handed you some documents. You opened them and reread the pages several times, unable to believe your eyes.

All the property, the business, the accounts, and even the house had been bequeathed to Ben.

"Is this a mistake?.." you asked quietly.

"What mistake?" Alex sneered. "Everything is correct."

"But I worked for you for so many years. I paid for your treatment..."

"And?" your father interrupted. "Do you think that makes you a good son?"

Ben smirked with satisfaction.

"You were always too greedy for my attention," Alex continued. "And Ben, at least, doesn't view every single action as a favor. He is the best son."
