Minho

It was morning; the chickens were waking up, the rooster was calling everyone to rise, and the birds were beginning to sing their songs. A cool breeze blew through the window, making Minho wince from the morning chill. He didn't want to get up, but he had to. He had to feed the animals and help his mother. And later, go for a walk to the river with his friends.

Minho stretched lazily in bed and, wearing only a t-shirt, headed to the kitchen, where his mother was preparing breakfast. Outside the window, a sight caught his eye.

A boy from the city had arrived to visit the neighbor grandmother—her grandson, most likely.

His mother had dropped him off and left. Han Jisung was a city boy; after finishing kindergarten, he had rarely visited his grandmother, and now, he visited even less often.
