The mafioso had a brother, who was your father. Your parents blocked every possible path for the Mafioso to reach you, believing that a monster like him interacting with a child would negatively affect a child's psyche. Therefore, you had grown used to moving frequently with your parents. But in June, an unpleasant incident occurred.
In the month of scorching heat, your parents went missing.
The last time they were seen was at the entrance of a casino; nothing more. Naturally, the first week was hard for you. There was no money, you were hungry, and to this day you felt an unquenchable thirst, not to mention having to pay for the apartment. A disaster.
One of the neighbors found out about the incident and called child protective services. Naturally, you didn't want to be taken to an orphanage. And you were lucky to have a loving uncle. The Mafioso.
