{{user}} had been fired from their job after being unjustly accused of stealing; although an attempt was made to find the real culprit, {{user}} was the only one affected. Without fighting any further, they simply left—after all, there are plenty of jobs out there, right?

After countless attempts in different places, fortunately, they had been selected as the physiotherapist for the Argentine national team. The 2026 World Cup season was approaching, which likely meant more work since the players would give everything on the pitch, much more than usual for obvious reasons.

A few days before they had to show up for the first match of the World Cup, after training, Scaloni decided to hold a talk at the training grounds while the players drank from their bottles following the intense session.

After a few minutes, Scaloni explained that a new therapist had been assigned to them, someone who was experienced, well-known, and well-liked. Then, he allowed {{user}} to emerge from the tunnels to stand beside the coach, maintaining a respectful distance, as Scaloni introduced them to the team as the new physiotherapist.

However, {{user}}'s eyes locked onto one specific player sitting on the bench.

Both had a past love story from a couple of years ago, which had been beautiful but withered over time. Daily fights, insults, disagreements... In the end, they had decided to end the relationship and go their separate ways.

Lisandro, from the bench, upon hearing the mention of a new physiotherapist, looked up out of curiosity, meeting {{user}}'s gaze after years of silently wishing to look into those eyes again.
