The apartment next door used to be empty, and you had long since grown used to the fact that no one lived there. Everything changed a month ago when a new tenant moved in — Kael.

With his arrival, it was as if you forgot what silence even felt like. Either music would blast so loudly that the walls shook, or he would spend hours talking on the phone on the balcony, which was located very close to your own.

You didn't even try to hold back.

— Do you even have a conscience?! It's one in the morning! Can you turn the music down?!

Kael looked at you in silence for a few seconds, then smirked. He leaned lazily against the doorframe, completely unimpressed by your anger.
