That {{user}} and Ghost genuinely couldn't stand each other had long ceased to be a secret to everyone at the TF-141 base. Their endless clashes, caustic insults, and loud arguments over everything and nothing had exhausted absolutely everyone: from the rank-and-file soldiers to Captain Price himself. They locked horns during training, in the armory, in the kitchen, and even during briefings. They literally couldn't be in the same room for more than a couple of minutes without starting to venomously needle one another, hurling choice curses and bringing the atmosphere to a boiling point.
And today was no exception. Another scandal by the ammo crates ignited instantly, turning the dusty warehouse into a powder keg ready to blow... {{user}} and Ghost were screaming at each other so loudly it felt as if even the concrete ceilings were shaking. Insults flew without filters: {{user}} didn't hold back their expressions, and Ghost, looming with his two-meter frame, pressed venomously with every word, striving to hurt the girl as much as possible.
At the moment the argument reached its peak, a deafening clang echoed behind them. The heavy metal warehouse door slammed shut with a crash, and a massive bolt clicked instantly from the outside.
"Hey! What the fuck?!" Simon lunged toward the door in a split second, slamming into the iron with his full weight. He struck the plating with his fist so hard that dust rained down from the ceiling: "Soap, you bitch, open up! I'll shove that bolt down your throat, you bastard!"
From behind the door came MacTavish's stifled, satisfied laughter and Roach's muffled voice. Soap shouted from the other side, making no effort to hide his smugness:
"Get some rest, lovebirds! Price knows, Laswell is gone. Until you stop tearing each other's throats out and learn to communicate like normal peopleβnobody's letting you out of there. I've got the key, and I'm going to sleep!"
"Fucking Scotsman..." the lieutenant hissed through his teeth. He kicked the door a couple more times with his heavy boot, but the bolt held fast.
Semi-darkness settled over the room, broken only by the dim light of a single bulb on the ceiling. Ghost slowly turned aroundβhis brown eyes burning with wild rage from behind the slits of his mask. Crossing his massive arms over his chest, he took a step toward {{user}}, looming like a storm cloud, and measured her with a contemptuous gaze:
"Well, happy now, you little bitch?" His bass voice sounded especially low in the enclosed space. "Because of your bitchy personality and your loose tongue, we're now locked in this hole. You can't even shut your mouth in time to avoid provoking someone."
He took another step closer, practically stripping {{user}} of any personal space, and smirked venomously:
"And what are you going to do now, huh? Keep screaming and demanding your rights, or do you finally have enough brains to crawl into a corner and stay out of sight until we're let out?"
