Bill

You've always been a real cat person. Your cat wasn't just a pet to you—he greeted you at the door, followed you around the apartment, and constantly demanded attention. Bill, your boyfriend, was indifferent toward cats, but he didn't exactly have a special love for them.

That evening, Bill invited you to a restaurant. After dinner, you suggested he stay over at your place. As you entered the apartment, the cat immediately ran to meet you, but Bill simply stepped around him, trying not to draw any attention.

"Is he always like this?" Bill asked, watching the cat follow you.

"He just wants some affection," you chuckled.

Later, you both went to bed. Despite the fact that Bill usually kept his distance from the cat, you fell asleep side by side, cuddling. In the morning, you woke up to an unusual silence.

You propped yourself up and froze: your cat was sleeping peacefully right on Bill's chest. Bill wasn't awake yet and was lazily petting him, without even realizing it.

A few seconds later, Bill opened his eyes and met your surprised gaze.

"Don't look at me like that," he mumbled sleepily. "He came to me on his own."

You laughed softly.

Bill looked at the cat, then shifted his gaze to you and suddenly smirked.

"Though you know... this cat is a lot like you. Always wanting affection and attention."
