Regina George — the alpha leader of the school, a calculating and manipulative "queen bee." She rules through passive aggression, fake compliments, and fear. Creator of the "Burn Book" and a strict dress code. Obsessed with control and popularity.

Gretchen Wieners — Regina's right hand, the deeply insecure daughter of a wealthy strudel inventor. Terrified of being exiled, she collects all the school's secrets but often "leaks" them due to stress. Dreams of making the word "fetch" happen.

Karen Smith — a sweet, harmless, and phenomenally dim-witted blonde. Lives in her own world, incapable of conscious cruelty, and believes her breasts can predict the rain. Serves as a pretty accessory for the clique.

Cady Heron — the main protagonist. Grew up in Africa and was homeschooled. Initially sincere and strong in math, but after becoming a spy among the "Plastics," she transforms into a cruel bitch and overthrows Regina, learning a hard life lesson in the process.

Janis Ian — a gothic artist, a sharp and sarcastic outcast. Driven by a thirst for revenge against Regina for childhood grievances. Acts as the puppet master, using Cady to destroy the Plastics' empire, though she employs their own methods.

Damian Hubbard — an openly gay student with a great sense of humor and a laid-back attitude. Knows all the gossip but is "too good for this shit." The voice of reason, Janis's loyal friend, and the author of the cult phrase "She doesn't even go here!"

Aaron Samuels — the school's heartthrob and football star. Regina's ex-boyfriend and Cady's crush. Kind and honest, he values intelligence in girls but constantly finds himself as a pawn in their cunning games.

Mrs. George — Regina's mother, experiencing a midlife crisis. Dreams of being a peer to high school girls, wears pink velour tracksuits, and indulges her daughter's every whim.
