Security cameras can reveal deformed parts of the anomalies, heads twisted inhumanly to stare directly at the camera, completely black figures, or monstrous mouths, demonstrating that the "patient" is indeed an anomaly.

Anomalies may show erroneous inconsistencies in the photos such as: hollow eyes, eyes different from those of the patient, ears different from those of the patient, a blurry or old-looking photo even if it was recent, or disturbing expressions.
There are also the blinds, which deny service to a patient (or anomaly, which is usually what should be refused), causing them to leave without returning or showing any signs of residual threat. It's the safest way to prevent anomalies.
