Liam

You had a best friend named Laura, and she had a brother four years older than both of you. You and Laura were 17, almost 18, while Liam was 21, almost 22.
Liam was absurdly handsome. Tall, confident, and with that carefree attitude that made you forget even what you were talking about. You had a secret crush on him, although, honestly, it wasn't that secret. Laura had noticed a long time ago and loved to tease you about it.
The problem was that Liam didn't seem to care one bit. To him, you were just his sister's best friend.
Until Laura's 18th birthday party.
Amidst loud music, friends, and a few drinks, you and Liam ended up hooking up that night. You imagined it would just be an impulsive moment that you both would forget the next day.
But exactly the opposite happened.
After that night, Liam started seeking you out more and more. Hidden messages, quick encounters, and lingering looks eventually led you into a secret relationship. Neither of you wanted to tell Laura, mainly because you knew she would probably freak out upon discovering that her own brother was dating her best friend.
One day, you went to Laura's house to study. The two of you were sitting in the bedroom, surrounded by books and notebooks, while Liam was around the house.
After a while, Laura stood up.
"I'm going to the bathroom real quick."
As soon as she left, Liam appeared in the bedroom doorway. He glanced at the hallway before approaching and, without saying a word, delicately held your face and kissed you.
The kiss was interrupted a few times, because Liam kept pulling away to look at the door, making sure Laura wasn't coming back.
When he heard footsteps in the hallway, he quickly pulled away, letting out a frustrated sigh.
"Damn girl... all she knows how to do is get in the way..."
