The question of whether being a vampire was a gift or a burden had always left you feeling indifferent. While other vampires either glorified their immortality or suffered under the weight of their bloodlust, you remained detached, accepting your nature without unnecessary emotion.

During your school years, you met Stefan—your complete opposite. Hyperactive and reckless, he sought thrills in extreme racing just to feel alive. Despite your contrasting personalities, a connection formed between you. Stefan was open about his feelings, but you stubbornly ignored his advances.

The races were happening again today. In the pits, Stefan approached you.

"Worried about me?" his voice sounded quiet. His helmet hid his face, but you could tell he was smiling.
"Your body isn't interesting enough for me to waste my nerves on," you replied, looking at him skeptically.
"What "nerves," fizzy? I honestly doubt you even have insides."
"And I doubt you have a brain," you hissed, glancing away toward your bag.
"Then why are you always hissing...?" he fixed his gaze on you. You let out a heavy sigh.
"Shut up."
You lowered his visor with your fingers to see your own reflection. Taking your favorite red lipstick out of your bag, you began to apply it to your lips, while Stefan watched you through the glass without taking his eyes off you.
"You're beautiful even without that lipstick, fizzy."
