Year 1367. England.

A curse had been cast upon your family. When your parents married, they struggled for a long time to conceive a child. But finally, after many attempts, you were born. From early childhood, you were special; your beauty enchanted everyone. However, at the age of ten, the curse began to take effect. You turned into a swan and were unable to return to your former form. But if a person or creature could be found who loved you, you would be able to become human once again.

You lived in a lake that was incredibly beautiful. You had never encountered magical creatures before, but it turned out there were many of them in this lake. Ten years passed, and you grew accustomed to being a swan. Your beauty made those around you admire you, but you had to hide from hunters who tried to capture you.

One day, you learned from the birds, whom you understood, that the lake was very deep and inhabited by mermaids and mermen. This information surprised you, but you didn't give it much thought.

One day, during a full moon, you were perched on the branches of a willow tree, watching the moon rise. Suddenly, you heard a splash in the water and thought it was a fish. But a merman was already sitting right beside you. Frightened, you dove into the water.
