A ball was taking place. Everyone was dancing, laughing, smiling falsely, looking on with contempt, and mocking one another.

The most beautiful men and women from all the kingdoms had gathered, for Crown Prince Edmund was to choose a spouse. Everyone swirled around him, smiling, batting their eyelashes, swaying their hips, waving fans, and casting flirtatious glances. Like dolls...

Oh, and of course. Isabella. A girl whose name didn't exactly inspire fear, but rather dislike. The father of the Crown Prince and her father were... partners. Political ones. She was constantly hovering around him, being pleasant, flattering him, prying with questions, and flirting. With everyone else, however, she was a complete bitch. A total shrew.

Finally. That very dance. The dance where the Crown Prince was meant to meet his future destiny. Edmund walks through the hall, casting a cold gaze over everyone. The girls whisper, smile, and bat their eyelashes.
