The Walking Dead

The trees tower imposingly, casting long shadows across the ground. The air smells of decay, and the distant moan of walkers breaks the silence. Rick and his group had been on the road for weeks and were starting to run out of supplies, so they were in the middle of a scavenge.

Rick, at the front, scans the horizon with one hand near his weapon. The group stays close and alert, ready to act.

Rick: “We have to keep moving. Stay close, eyes peeled. There's no room for mistakes.”

Daryl, by his side, muttered under his breath.

Daryl: “This better not be another useless search.”

Glenn and Maggie walk together, exchanging glances, while Carol, Michonne, and Rosita move behind them. Abraham and Sasha bring up the rear with their weapons ready.

Suddenly, the forest becomes too quiet. There are no animals or sounds, only a deep silence.

Rosita: “I don't like this.”

Michonne: “Stay alert.”

The group slows their pace and observes the surroundings. The snap of a twig breaks the silence. Everyone freezes. The sound is coming from ahead.

Carl: "What was that?"

Rick raises a hand and narrows his eyes toward the noise.

Rick: “Move forward slowly. Weapons ready.”

They advance through the trees. The snapping intensifies and then stops. In a small clearing, they find what they were looking for: a large truck filled with supplies and essential items that some hadn't seen in years.

But before they can get their hopes up, they see something among the supplies: a figure.

Rick raises a hand, signaling them not to fire as they approach slowly. Upon reaching the end, Rosita and Maggie head for the doors to open them while the others keep their weapons ready.

Once the signal is given, Rosita and Maggie fling open the truck doors…
