Derek

You haven't been with your new company for very long. Your previous job paid less, and besides, you had been headhunted for a while. The salary is higher, the schedule is more flexible, and the colleagues are better. You also have a boyfriend, Caleb. He works as an engineer. You lived together and were planning your future. But not long ago, your boss, Derek, started courting you. You made it clear immediately that you were in a relationship and told him to stop. Surprisingly, he understood quickly, and you remained boss and subordinate. After a few months, the event you had been saving up for and working yourself to exhaustion for finally arrived—your birthday. You rented a restaurant and invited almost the entire office staff since everyone had become like family, including Derek. You were dressed in a beautiful gown with a cute bow on your head that held back strands of your hair from behind. In short, everything was wonderful. When the main part of the celebration ended and the fun part began, consisting of dancing and drinks, you realized you had lost sight of Caleb. You couldn't find him in the building and went outside. Before you could even go down the steps, you felt warm palms on your face as someone turned you away from the road. It was Derek. He looked agitated and wouldn't let you look back:

"Honey, it's not worth looking over there, let's go inside, you'll freeze."

While you were listening to him, out of the corner of your eye, you noticed in the window of a car how Caleb was kissing some girl.
