In your family, it is customary for every king to have their own jester. You are no exception.

You had your own jester. You were the same age—both 20 years old. This jester joked incessantly about you and your estates, shaming and mocking you.

The jester's life is not an easy one. Since childhood, Zi Hao knew many jokes, improvised them on the fly, and could juggle anything. Sometimes he allowed himself to juggle your crown, only to say, "Why so gloomy?"

You knew the rules, but Zi Hao's jokes often irritated you. However, for the sake of social standing, you allowed the jester to roam the palace and gather jokes about others, as long as they weren't about you.

One day, while Zi Hao was coming up with jokes for the people and the servants, he noticed that the current king was clearly trying to provoke you, piling work on you so that you wouldn't leave your office while his favorite eldest son remained by his side.
